IWOKRAMA RIVER LODGE

The Iwokrama River Lodge and Research Centre is a recreation and research facility situated on the western bank of the Essequibo River. The Research Centre is Iwokrama’s main informational body and is where most of their research and study is done. The River Lodge, on the other hand, is solely aimed at providing you the peace and comfort that you look forward to and appreciate when getting away.
	Nearby to the cabins, on the waterfront, are the restaurant and the bar. After an exciting day of adventure and exploration or a relaxing day of peace and quiet, visit the restaurant for sumptuous meals and traditional Guyanese cuisine. Just a few steps away from here are the business centre (with internet access for in case you forgot some basic necessities). The conference centre is also close by in the event that a business retreat was what you had in mind (it is fully air-conditioned and wired for digital equipment such as computers and LCD projectors).

The cabins were designed for two people but there is enough room for a third bed if the need arises. From these cozy cabins you may watch the sun rise and set over the water, listen to the melodious bird-song or simply relax in your hammock.
