Hidden deep within the Rupununi savannahs of Guyana is the naturally comfortable, naturally beautiful Amerindian community of Rock View. Rockview Lodge is owned by an Englishman, Colin Edwards, who bought the ranch and started the project in 1992. Since then, Rockview has grown from the basic cattle ranch it used to be into the sophisticated community that it is today.
	Enjoy a bar well-stocked with local and imported beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Also on the grounds are the Rock Pool & Bar, the aquarium, the view-point and the Dakota Bar & Shop. Off the Rock View premises there’s a lot to do too. If hiking and the more physical stuff is your thing you may want to try the nature trails that have been cut into the Pakaraima foothills’ foliage or climb the naked foothills and get a panoramic view of the savannahs sprawling before you. You can go on guided tours to the Amerindian villages such as Annai and Rupertee, the Canopy Walkway, Karanambu or you can go birding
